Delivery dates moving around VIN assigned

Anyone else get an “October” EDD? Ordered white MY7 5/19. Dates have changed a dozen times. I’ve had EDDs in June, July, August, September and now October.

Just changed back to 2-22 Aug. very strange

I'm located in Southern California and placed an order for a Model Y on May 7th. Delivery date is now in October.

I ordered last week with an EDD of October. No VIN to date.

I visited the local Tesla Service Center yesterday and, reading between the lines, it would appear that CA deliveries are being structured for End of Qtr, ie September.
Other areas of the country are being prioritized right now (Jul / Aug).
It makes some sense, in that shipping timelines from Fremont are quicker to make EoQ, and gives more time for others to get their deliveries, docs and loans together.
My local SA says for me to expect Sept. My EDD says 8/14-9/3.
Who knows?

Finally have a VIN and the EDD is July 31 - August 3 (order placed on May 7th) but no word yet from my SA.

Ordered May 21 (suburban Seattle). Only extras: metallic silver paint and a tow hitch. Like everyone else, my date has bounced around, and is now showing either "October" or nothing. I'll be trading in my Model 3 so I have something decent to drive until then.

My delivery date is day after tomorrow and every day it moves out another day. I've had a VIN for a couple weeks; how long after a VIN is provided should you expect actual delivery?

got my VIN 08/30, current EDD - 09/02-09/08

Haven't been contacted by any SA yet, and reading here it appears the EDD is still flaky and nothing is concrete until someone contacts and schedules the actual delivery date.
I wanted to know if you can pay after having inspected and agreed/accepted the delivery or does the payment have to be completed b4 scheduling the delivery? I am not going the load route hence the question.
