I ordered my 2021 MYLR back on June 3rd, received a VIN in September, and took delivery on 9/27. I decided to buy a '24 MYLR and take advantage of the $7,500 tax credit at purchase, $1,000 CT order discount, and $1,000 Tesla discount for taking delivery before March. I ordered from the custom option and received a VIN in under two days. Schedule delivery for the same week! That is insane compared to my last experience. My trade-in offer is a decent value from Tesla at $31,500 for MYLR with 19k miles. I know some say to wait until '25 for the refresh; however, I want the better suspension and faster CPU. Plus, my current trade-in will never be worth more than it is now, and I doubt Tesla will give any incentives for the refresh, but who knows? Anyway, I thought I'd share.

Nice. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the suspension. I have a 21 MY also. I test drove a '23 and did find the suspension softer, but mostly only over smaller bumps, not larger ones. Perhaps (subjectively) a 10-15% improvement. It wasn't enough of a difference for me to want to make the change. The rest of the car was pretty much the same, with some very minor differences like carpet in door pockets, etc. Again not enough for me to want to change. For me I have decided to wait until the Juniper refresh. Yes the CPU is faster in the '23/24, but for normal daily driving I didn't notice a difference during my test drive. If I was using entertainment features alot (which I don't) then I perhaps would have cared more. And I don't often view sentry footage, just occasionally. Yes, bringing up and viewing sentry/dashcam is slower with the Intel Atom chip, but again I don't view sentry or dashcam footage that often. I have USS as well, which I like. Although I've seen some videos where Tesla vision does pretty good. It will continue to improve. HW4 cameras are sharper, for sure, but I'm not complaining about the quality of my HW3 cameras. They are still very good.

I understand where you are coming from. I am also going from the 20" to the 19" wheels and I've found some cool black covers that I plan on installing. I'm sure the refresh will be amazing but I stopped waiting for the next thing about to come out in tech a while ago. It'll be cool to hear your comparison when you upgrade to the Juniper model.

which covers did you go with? I am looking at doing Rimetrix again, they did really well on my 3.

I just trading my Jan 2021 Build Model Y in for a 2024 and the suspension is night and day. Still a bit stiff but not like a truck anymore. Heated Steering wheel and the center console with much better wireless cell phone charging. The biggest thing is the reduction of road noise and no more noise coming from the rear hatch.

I ordered my 2022 Y seven seat on January 6th 2022 and received delivery 256 days later on September 19th 2022. I did not receive any federal or state rebate. NJ has no sales tax or state inspection on zero emission vehicles.
I did qualify for a $1500 BTM rebate credit from N JPSE&G.
With over 27k miles and six round trps from NJ to Florida I'm a happy camper and I love my Y

I'm actually getting mine delivered right now and sitting in the waiting room while they replace the rear hatch glass because it was a bit high and actually out of spec.

I went thru a checklist and had my 2021 MYLR parked next to it. The construction, paint, finish of welds, door cards, carpeting, trunk shelf, among other things are all improved and thats just from seeing it. I only drove the car into the service bay so I can't comment on the suspension yet.

They've built 500k more of them and have learned something.

I had 60K on mine and got $24,000. Basically walked away from it with no equity but the reality is, I would have kept her. But to have $13,000 of incentives on this upgrade, a car in warranty that will keep me happy another few years and like the OP said, these 21's will never be worth as much combined with the incentives.

I took delivery last Thursday and agree with you on all fronts. Everything is better built than my 2021 refresh model.

I had the refreshed 2021 MYLR. The 2024 MYLR has a noticeably better ride but I am going from 20" to 19" with turbine wheel covers. Everything about the car feels more solid and put together. It makes sense as Fremont has had more time to dial in all the details.

Looking to print out a good checklist for when I pick up my Y; link available?
