You don't need to. Returning the pedal to neutral pulls a very minimal amount of fluid back into the caliper (1-2tbsp), and it's just the same fresh fluid being reintroduced anyways. You're good to go as long as there's no air bubbles. Occam's Razor is a principle that's served me well over the years.

Well. You Sir, have the fine tuned skills of working the pedal and opening the valve just enough.

I have experienced air bubble getting drawn back in the the calipers when its not closed or not using Speedbleeder valve.

Just in case: if you drain the system before adding new fluid (as I did) you'll need a helper regardless.

Does the Tesla require you to do anything special to get the old fluid out of the power brake assembly or does it simply stay in there and ruin it over time. Many people forget about that problem in most cars.

If you have old fluid in the ABS module and flush the rest with new fresh stuff, as soon as you engage ABS the next time, all that old water-saturated fluid gets mixed in with the fresh stuff that was just changed out.

Only way I know how is to flush, go drive and engage ABS, and then flush again. Would love to know if there's an easier way.

What pressure should the motive power bleeder be set to? 15 psi?

I try and keep it 12-15 PSI through the process. Start at 15 then pump it back up when it drops to 12-13 psi

One man bleeder

I've been using one of these for years. The container is a little small so I use a small paint pail that has a magnet to hold the brush and such the bleed to magnet there and leave the container off. It has a check valve in the head. Simple, cheap, and effective.

You will not run out of fluid with this one, even when trying to flush the ABS/DSC system. If used daily, the hose will need to be replaced every 6 months.
