Does the 12v Outlet have constant power?

On my trip I'm taking a small fridge plugged into the 12v cigarette lighter and as it will be holding some medication, I was wondering if the outlet is constantly powered.

It's not but you can make it that way if you install a jumper as shown out in this post with pictures.

It did not on my 2014 Canadian Model S but it does on my 2016 Model X.

I use it to power my dash camera. Not sure if this is a difference in the type of car or the year.

My 2016 refreshed S AP1 (delivery Sep 2016) DOES NOT stay hot. After car is left/doors closed, it turns off.

It took me less than 10 minutes to make a jumper and install it to keep my dashcam on all the time.
