Does the 2018 Model 3 not support MyQ?

I have MyQ installed in my garage, and I tried on Model 3 to set up MyQ, but I could not.
Is my model 3 too old for MyQ?

Anyway, MyQ customer support navigated me to set up MyQ for my Model 3. But MyQ did not exist anywhere on the Model 3 control panel. In the end, he said it is for the model year of 2021 or newer. He was not sure if the model year older than that is not supported.

Open car settings and click on the garage icon at the top. Click on the "Link MyQ account". Scan the qr code and enter your MyQ login.

On Model S/X MyQ is only available on mid 2021's or later but is available for all 3/Y

HomeLink was standard in the 2018 Model 3, so that’s probably why there’s no support for myQ. Our 2018 Model 3 didn’t have myQ support either.

My 2018 appears to support it. MyQ website says all 3/Y are supported.

We don’t own the 2018 Model 3 anymore so I can’t check, but I don’t recall seeing that option. However, I didn’t go into HomeLink settings much so it might have been added at some point. I assume your 2018 has HomeLink too?

My 2018 also has MyQ as shown and described by GHammer. They should all have it as it was brought through a software update and it uses the WiFi hardware that all the cars have.

I don’t have MyQ but was going through some setup screens on my 2020 M3 today and noticed a MyQ setup button. I think it was above the Homelink button on the software page.
