Eanes ISD board approves creation of police department and Tesla fleet purchase in unanimous vote​

As one might expect with anything new:

Last month, the school board paused on a vote to accept an offer for nine Tesla Model Y's amidst public backlash. But after the superintendent publicly defended his decision Monday, the school board voted to accept the $400,000 deal.

Mainly was ignorance of the costs, all the complainants thinking the MY would cost more. The board pointed out quite easily it will be significantly less expensive and be provided sooner.
