Current post-delivery price is $7,000.

Yes, it is after the fact but "post-delivery" can change at any time as long as you didn't pay fully for it.

Tesla has a long history of changing prices if you have not locked your price in by paying for it.


There's a rumor saying that this time, Tesla would honor the $6,000 post-delivery price if you have been grandfathered.

It's a "rumor" because you can't find it on the web so I guess it is an "off menu" price.

You'll need to call Tesla to see if you are grandfathered for the $6,000 price.

Actually at that time it was $5k before delivery and $6k after delivery. Since then the price has gone up to $7k after delivery. (And is subject to change at any time.)
