EAP in NZ

I was just invited to join the Early Access Program here in NZ. I was taken through many screens of clauses and conditions and then accepted.

Does this mean FSD Beta is coming to NZ?

Has anyone else been invited in NZ or Australia?

Strange, fsb beta started via early access but not any more.

What I’m thinking is they’re planning a release of some software over here and I cannot think of what else it could be other than FSD Beta for NZ/Australia.

True that FSD Beta started with the TEAP in the US. Maybe that’s how they’re planning to start it here. Here’s hoping.

That could be relevant. I bought my first Tesla in Japan. I opened my account there and used the same account after moving to NZ.

That makes perfect sense.... for a moment I felt we FSD users are left out at NZ, but appears it's targeted Japan users for now.

Yes, makes sense for Japan. They’ve been left out in the cold for a long time. Their give way signs are shaped the same as our stop signs (hexagons) and their stop signs are shaped the same as give-way signs (triangles). All the signs contain an entirely different letter set mixed up with kanji. Lanes are all narrower, streets busier. A full revision of all the rules would be needed to get those who’ve paid for FSD up to speed with the rest of the world. The same must apply to China I would imagine.

Seems interesting to want to start RHD FSD beta testing in Japan though. It seems rather chaotic compared to the likes of NZ and Aus streets. But maybe they want to put it in the worse case first.

I fully doubt it is for FSD Beta. More for the features we have that they still do not, like

• Navigate on Autopilot
• Traffic light and stop sign control
• Auto summon
• Speed sign recognition, etc.

Possible...although I don't believe they put that through EAP when those features launched here in NZ a couple years ago.
