still new to this - very seriously considering making my MY into a performance - anyone knows if you get it faster with a new order or an edit of an existing order? Placed 11/2019 originally.

No one knows other than Tesla exactly what is going on at this stage. If you go into their support page there is a chat at the bottom of the page that usually pops up (working hours cali time) and you could ask them. Some rumor the performance may come quicker than other trims? More than likely it depends on were you live. Myself I would edit my existing order over cancel and ordering new. Less paper work and unless you have set a delivery date should not be more than a blip.
Different question: If you cancel your existing order and place a new one, don't you have to pay an additional $100 fee?

Don't cancel your order! You should be able to edit the order when you log in and go to account and then click manage next to your current car order.
