Effect of dealer purchase on warranty renewal

I searched for this question, but didn't get a hit.

I had pretty much eliminated the idea of buying from a dealer especially as their cars neared or exceeded 50K miles. I wonder if my perception was wrong about the effect of buying from a dealer.

I understand one no longer needs to request the seller renew a warranty; the new owner now can. Is there any restriction in buying from a dealer whose car still has a warranty, albeit time-limited? If there were 6 months left on the warranty on a dealer sale, does Tesla policy afford a buyer the option to extend????

The original factory warranty will always apply. But if the car is sold through a dealer, it permanently loses the ability to have the ESA applied, even after the sale by a private buyer.

Now will Tesla know that the car was sold through a used car dealer? What appears on the carfax? Did the dealer take on a dealer title to the car (likely), or are they holding the original signed title from the seller?
