European SuperCharger rollout updated

These are two of the 17 locations that Euro Rastpark operates in Germany. Superchargers went live at two others, Aichstetten and Jettingen-Scheppach, back in 2013. Construction was spotted at Irxleben. According to a press release, they plan to have supercharging at a total of 10 locations in Summer 2014, so 7 to go.

On that page it doesn't say which ones, right?

They are also saying that they are going to install other Quickchargers to suite other EVs. Any idea on what chargers that will be?

And scouts found another one!

Please keep us, non German-speakers posted here

I will pick up my car in the Netherlands in a month (week of May 19). If the Hengersberg and Vienna chargers come online by then, I can drive from Tilburg to Budapest on SC's only. Now that would be nice.

I'm no German speaker, I'm Dutch, but I can read most of the German.

I really want to see a SC near Heerlen/Essen, because Wilnsdorf is 398km, a bit to far to drive their at normal speeds.

First UK Superchargers - South Mimms

My honor to report, but I can't help with translation this time

Sent an email to the US and EU team today:

Hi guys,

Elon Musk made us a promise in Amsterdam: the information on the Tesla website about the Superchargers in the EU would be more detailed. I.e., more info on WHEN they will be placed. Now it only says ‘by the end of 2014’…. He promised to make this more detailed. Somebody in the audience asked this question because we all want to go on holiday this summer, so it was specifically explained to Elon that we want to know what is going to be available *before* july/august holiday season. He promised to make this information available on the SC-webpage. This has not happened yet, and Elon made this promise 2 months ago.

Holiday planning without this information is kind of impossible. Can we go to the South of France like we mostly do? Or not? Do we have to use the German route to the south (huge detour!).

There are a *lot* of Tesla’s in the Netherlands and the South of France is the number 1 holiday destination for the Dutch, by far.

I think everybody will understand if we can’t drive to France this summer because Tesla cannot deliver in time. But I don’t think Tesla owners will understand if we just don’t know and cannot plan (and book!) our holidays. We already missed one great campsite we wanted to go and had to let go of the last spot available… Really a pity since it is a special campsite for dog owners, where the dogs are allowed to play freely. Sad news for our dog! (she loves the Tesla though, she was always sick in an ICE! Not in the Tesla!).

So please guys, give us some info, and please update the website as promised.

Best regards,

- happy Tesla owner -

Well... this board was shown the other week at a fair down in Europe. There you can see that they plan on having the Dutch be able to go straight down to Marseille and even further down to Barcelona by this summer. And the Norwegians will be able to go to Stockholm and down into the rest of Europe via Denmark.
But... as we know how Teslas time schedule normally look like I would probably book my vacation to the late summer if possible... and maybe have back-up alternatives and refundable bookings. :p

I will pick up my car in the Netherlands in a month (week of May 19). If the Hengersberg and Vienna chargers come online by then, I can drive from Tilburg to Budapest on SC's only. Now that would be nice.

In a week from now we will be traveling to Budapest. We live in Tilburg. My wife is Hungarian and the parents live in Cegléd. It will be the first trip to Hungary with our Model S. The delivery was three weeks ago. I have already made a trip to Austria, using the Sc without any problem. Never travelled so well!

I am afraid that the SC in Hengersberg and Wien will not be online so soon, so we have another scenario. We will drive on the SC's (Wilnsdorf, Bad Rappenau and Jettingen) which will take us past Salzburg where we will stay for the night in a hotel where we can charge on 22KW (Smatric). From there to Vienna (hoping for the SC) or else Eisenstadt to charge 22 KW (Göttlesbrunn is still under construction) and then to Budapest.

If you like I can help you when you come to Tilburg to pick up your Model S. I expect (or else suggest) that you come by Wizzair (Eindhoven) and I will be glad to pick you up and bring you to the delivery center (4 km from here) and help you whereever I can. The delivery is really special!

I don't know how many Model S are in Budapest nowadays. If you like, we can meet when we are in Budapest. I can show you my Model S and tell you about it.

By the way, you can follow us on Leafrijder | Leafrijder blog (in Dutch).

THank you very much for the offer Hans. I'll contact you after I finalize the date with the delivery specialist. I hope to see you in Budapest.

A 15th supercharger, located below Munich. That looks great, I will be able to go over the Brenner, holiday time!

So on the German forum this was posted: TFF Forum Thema anzeigen - Supercharger in Europa

So all Euro-Rastpark and Maxi-Autohöfe service areas will get a SuperCharger:
* Maxi: STANDORTE - MAXI-Autohof - Maxi-Autohof
* Euro-Rastpark: Euro Rastpark: Standort-Karte

Wilnsdorf is still 394km from my home, so I'm hoping for at least one SC (or the CHAdeMO adapter) so I can reach the German SC network a bit easier :)

394km is doable on a single charge, will attempt 422km next week when I need to go to Latvia and well there are no true charging stations in Latvia. Luckily for me the only ever built Type-II charger in Latvia is at my route around 360km into the drive so if I see I can't make it (need to average ca 185Wh/km) I can top off some :) Will probably try it out anyway to make sure it actually works :)

Is there any news about the new Superchargers in Vienna? Some 10 days ago pictures were presented of a nearly finished facility. This weekend I will be passing Vienna on my way to Budapest and it would make a difference if I could use this supercharger (or at least on my way back, a week later) over the 22 kW stations in Austria. (Which are of course not bad and they cover the corridor Salzburg Vienna completely)

From what I've heard, 2-3 more weeks from today till energized.

They told me I can come anytime to charge there, no problem at all. They have many charge connectors and chargers inside the service centre. Because, whenever possible, they also charge your car while they are working on it. that's really nice of them. The speed is around 80km/h. The thing is that they close at 6PM, so after that you have no place to charge, until the supercharger opens, of course.
