EV Charger Maps

I'm in contact with some owners of EV charging points websites in NL and am trying to convince them to use OCM instead of their own database. Slowly they seem to see the benefits of it, so that is good news!
Thank you, that's a great help to us all.

Everyone wins if we have a single, global, open, database... the third parties can then focus their efforts on providing the features that we all want to see

Did you talked direct to Mr. Schweizer? i meet him in Geneva three weeks ago at the UN-place. I can provide direct contact to him. Because all station are published on their webside, you may include them in your system as well.
I did reach out to Mr Schweizer once again but can't get him to respond... could you try to encourage him to get involved with the OpenChargeMap database?

we have a new charging point widget which allows you to include maps using the OpenChargeMap database on your own sites, please give it a try:

Hey Kevin,

I love the site, however there should be an option to submit updates for existing charging stations. Also, I noticed that if there is a Level 1 only charging station, there isn't an option for NEMA 5-15/20 under Connection Type. I submitted some updates and just picked Unknown for the connector type... Thanks again for the wonderful resource!

I would like to send the OCM info to Will at Clipper Creek. As they update old Avcons in CA., part of the process is to update the popular maps with new info. He had not heard of OCM.

Kevin can you post or write your brief explanatory paragraph that touts the benefits. ease and logic of your site? I will send that to him with my request for charge points I would like upgraded.

Sorry for the newbie question but when it just says "Level 1" or "Level 2", does that mean it is a J1772 connector?

If yes, is it a general rule that "if it doesn't say, then it's J1772" on most of these charge map sites?

Thanks in advance.

Meet Recargo, Another EV Charging App | Autopia | Wired.com

Like similar apps, Recargo relies on data from the US Department of Energy’s master list of public charging stations, refining that compendium with user-supplied reports of whether they’re in working order or easily accessible.

Unlike similar apps, however, Recargo also features Google Street View images of more than 1,000 EV charging sites worldwide. That way you’ll be able to see for yourself if the station is hidden at the back of a garage or in the middle of a desolate unlit parking lot.

Where should I log them!!!?? I want to do it on the spot into my phone.
Please use the link "Want to submit a charging point? Send us the details" here;

I understand that a couple of new apps are in development that will allow you to photograph the Charge Station and automatically upload the data to the OpenChargeMap database. I believe these are planned to support both iPhone and Android.

What apps already support OpenChargeMap ?
