If you make the battery pack bigger and hide the top end of the capacity, the taper appears to be less and the charging rate when "full" is higher. I can't remember which one, but one of the upcoming German BEV SUVs appears to use this technique.

the Model S60 uses this as its essentially an S75 which in itself is more an 80.

But it charges from like 10 - 60% without tapering and only tapers very slightly until 90%.

The S60 that actually has a S75 battery is exactly like I described. However, there are older true S60 cars as well. Those have much more severe charge tapering.

alex in principle that is ok but i would prefer to have an unlock so you can "overcharge" the battery so to speak.
Id rather be able to once a year charge my battery from 0 to 300 miles than be stuck with 240 miles.

Quick question is there somewhere that would sell all the connectors and cables needed for Australia as a kit or bundle?

You could email them and ask if they can do the cables and adaptors as bundle.
I carry with me the following: 1x 15A tail, 1x 20A 3ph tail, 1x 32A 3ph tail, J1772 adaptor, Type2 to Type2 cable (all purchased from EVchargers), 1x CHAdeMO (purchased from Tesla, as was the euro-adaptor to use with the tails).
