Exiting from freeway with TACC enabled

Anybody been able to use their turn signal to exit from the freeway when TACC is enabled? Doesn't work for me in 2018.14.13.

In right hand traffic, engaging the right turn
signal when driving in the right-most lane
within 164 feet (50 meters) of an exit (on a
controlled access road only, such as a highway
or freeway), causes Traffic-Aware Cruise
Control to assume you are exiting. As a result,
Traffic-Aware Cruise Control begins to slow
down the vehicle.

Weird.

On AP1 the only time TACC will slow the car down (without a car in the way) is if there is a turn coming up. It's like it thinks its driving miss daisy, and I want to gingerly go around the corner or off ramp.

It would be pretty annoying if it slowed down well before the actual exit.

I use turning off TACC just I hit the exit as my preferred way of slowing down. In fact I enjoy it to a point where I can't explain why I enjoy it so much.

Isn't that a good thing..? slow down when you are about to exit?

Sorry, I should have made that posting a little clearer. The following is from the user manual :

In right hand traffic, engaging the right turn
signal when driving in the right-most lane
within 164 feet (50 meters) of an exit (on a
controlled access road only, such as a highway
or freeway), causes Traffic-Aware Cruise
Control to assume you are exiting. As a result,
Traffic-Aware Cruise Control begins to slow
down the vehicle.

It doesn't work that way for me. It doesn't slow, it doesn't turn, just keeps going past the exit.
