Traffic Aware Cruise Control (TACC) won't be available on FSD v12?

TACC is still available, it’s just that the options to invoke it when using FSD are limited. Turning off FSD brings you back to TACC - it would be very difficult for them to eliminate as its a feature that came with the car upon purchase and so many people use it. Then again it is a Tesla.
Unfortunately, TACC/TSC stops at green lights, which it did not do before the v12.x update. You now must "confirm" driving through a green light. I think Tesla screwed with TACC in order to force people to use FSD, despite TACC/TSC being WAY more reliable.

I cannot disagree with your experience, but only tell you my experience. AP on city streets (pre-FSD Beta) always forced me to confirm intersections, even on green lights, except when there is a lead car. Once I was invited into FSD Beta (v10) back in 2021, the problem obviously went away, as I used FSD Beta for city streets. Maybe that removed that in v11, but I wouldn't know as I was still in FSD Beta.

Turn off the setting for traffic light and stop sign control in the autopilot settings if you want True TACC

V12 sucks. I need TACC to work when I steer out of FSD. Reminds me of Apple removing useful features. Hopefully they fix this soon.
That's the reason I only used FSD on two drives for during my 1-month trial of v12. The detected speed limit is so far off on most of the roads near me it forced me to choose before each drive: operate the throttle while the car steers (and hits almost every pothole) for half the drive or steer (on almost entirely straight roads) while the car maintains the speed I want. Pretty easy decision.

I haven't read the entire thread, so apologies if this is already answered. Is there any effort to convince Tesla to re-enable this (twitter, etc.?). I'd even be ok if double tap puts the car into TACC (effectively reversing the previous UX). Since the change FSD\cruising in my car on the highway has gone from a pleasant experience to extremely infuriating. I'm constantly fighting FSD to not change lanes into lanes it should not be in (we have tolled HOV lanes that cost money unless there are 2 or 3+ people in the car, depending on TOD). I also find FSD more stressful because i need to be even more aware of my surroundings to make sure it doesn't drive into anything. I'm getting close to the point of just disabling FSD completely, but there are times i still like using it for part of my drive where I know i wont have so many interventions.

I assume there has already been a class-action related to bring this back since this is effectively a paid feature that they removed?

I’ve stopped using FSD since a recent “update” that eliminated the ability to single pull for cruise control and double pull for FSD.
When FSD is selected, the only ‘option’ is single pull.
Can only switch settings under Autopilot when in park.
Sure wish I could use both cruise control or FSD on the same drive/trip

Btw, long time model S owner.
Current S is 2019 (delivered Dec 2019) now have 110,000 miles.
Previous S was a 2015, sold it after 4 years with 90K miles.
Also, I’m one of those suckers who paid for FSD long before it was even available (2015).
My wife has a 3, since 2018 w/o FSD

In my M3 I can setup two driver profiles, one with FSD(S) when the 1 month trial was available, and another with just AP or TACC via the double/single stalk pull. I could switch profiles whilst driving; I was advised of this capability by another forum member.

I totally agree this is a huge step back for me too. If the roads I drove to work were smooth and pothole less then it wouldn’t be nearly as much of an issue.

I don’t want to be nitpicking but FSD wasn’t available to purchase until late 2016.

BUT if you use the 2 profiles, when you want to leave TACC to go back to FSD it does not go back to FSD unless you stop the car, put it into park and then switch it. It is VERY OBVIOUS Tesla is trying to make it very hard to use TACC so you will stay in FSD. (Or did I miss something🤪?)
