I had an idea that I wanted to share. Maybe we can eventually convince Tesla to do it:
I love the idea that after I created my design for my car, Tesla had some pretty renderings that matched my options. But now that my car is actually being built, I'd really love to have a few photos of the actual manufacturing of my car. At a few interesting points along the assembly line, where the Wonka-esque trade secrets wouldn't be given away, it'd be great to snap a photo, and have it uploaded to my dashboard at teslamotors.com (or just pre-load them into my car upon delivery). I keep thinking about the photos you get at Disneyland when you're on some of the rides, and I wish I had something to show the birthing of what's likely to become my new favorite toy.
