I had a delivery scheduled yesterday 9/21 at 9AM. After waking up my 11 month old, and gathering the family in the car at 8am, we got a call about 15 minutes away that the car hadn't arrived yet.... They reassured us that the car had already crossed the state border so we'll be able to pick the car up later that day. We were already out so shopped around and showed up 4 hours later to confusion at the delivery center. One rep told us the car is in the wash bay, then came back and said actually looks like it just crossed the border...

Finally, called back in later that evening, they mentioned that the transport is a third party, so unfortunately they have no insight and no control....

I'll just sit here and wait until they can find the car.

They never loose vehicles . Sadly your were lied to that the vehicle was in a wash rack. Every Tesla can be located via GPS I was in a delivery center and watched a delivery specialist locate a vehicle on computer being transported in real time.

It seem like this is a norm now. They call you a few hours before picking up to cancel and reschedule for all the excuses.
I don't understand Tesla's model. Are they suppose to actually getting the car first, do another last minute round of QC, then text the customer to pickup the car for a "great customer experience" so we can say how proud we're owing a 100K car?

OP, sounds like they won't have enough time to do QC at the place you're picking it up so have the list ready. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. They postponed my Friday pickup to this coming Monday. Will see if they're going to reschedule it again.

Finally got the car, pretty satisfied, a couple issues that should be covered under warranty, but the story to get the car was even worse than before.

Long story below...

Arrived for delivery appoint on Tuesday at 5pm, they handed my wife and I the keys, we looked at the car for about 20-30 min, found a couple small body issues, they took the car to the service bay and fixed them. My wife, son and I waited for about 30 minutes for them to come out with the paperwork. The delivery agent asks if we're both cosigning, we say yes. All of a sudden he looks confused and says for some reason the loan was approved on both your names, but credit was only run for one person (myself, and not my wife). This is a Tesla loan.... Anyways, I'm like ok the loan is approved though, let's get going, they explain that they've never encountered this issue before and cannot register the car if both names are not on the loan. I'm confused at this point because both our names are clearly on the loan papers. Anyways they mention now it's too late RMV closes in 5 minutes. This is at 655, we arrived for our appointment at 5 and they found an issue 2 hours later with paper work that could've been prepared long before I arrived. Anyways I had to go home again to return the next day for a 6pm they promised.

I get home and check my account, and the appointment is reserved for Thursday 6pm instead of Wednesday 6pm as they promised. I call on Wednesday morning, and ask why the date was incorrect for my delivery, the rep mentioned that the date was correct because they were too busy today, Wednesday, to deliver the car to me. "Too busy to deliver the car to a customer that has already showed up twice for failed delivery's due to your negligence?" Anyways, I demanded they deliver the car on Wednesday, they agree but mentioned that I have to come at a time that works for them..... Anyways I made it work, got the car, signed the papers, delivery agent left and said someone will come with your plates in 20 minutes... I waited about 45 more minutes for someone to come and install the plates.....

While I love the car, I am absolutely disappointed by the customer service. My opinion is that they don't really care about used car deliveries.
