Ferries and Tesla

In Norway we have lots of ferries and Tesla cars. When a Tesla is onboard, there is an alarm running all the time. A ferry mode is needed.

In Washington we also take ferries, however I never heard any alarm problem of any Tesla.

I think EU spec cars have a different alarm. Mine goes nuts if it riding on the back of a recovery, for example.

Many insurance companies mandate tilt detection in the alarm in the EU; by default it's enabled.

The alarm is definitely different there as the power connection overhead in the grill used for many dashcams in the US is what is used in Europe for a motion sensor (I believe) in the S. Also don’t recall seeing the Tilt option on my X but I’ve not checked.

Pretty sure the Model 3 (at least in the USA) has no such option.
