You're assuming its an insurance related issue. It can be almost anything now a days, especially in California. Much wider scope then just hitting or getting hit. Just opens up the possibilities. Even without a camera the insurance is going to pay. You don't have to have it on camera to get your car fixed.

Nothing like a no-fault society.

Many of us use the Blackvue 650 model. Small, unobtrusive, pretty reliable.
