I would think this was a simple feature to rollout. It would be nice to be alerted with the mobile app when the air in the tires were getting too low. This would avoid being surprised right before needing to head out anywhere. Can you even check the PSI of the tires from the app?

^^Yeap. And you would already get the warning when the car is driven which as explained IS when the sensors are active.
At the very least we should have the option to probe and activate the sensor at will just like we can wake the car up and access other features when needed.
I got in our Model Y one morning and it told me one of the tires was flat. It hadn't moved.
Exactly that's what prompted my question because this is just what happened to me. Wish I would've known before I got to the car.

It had to have gone low on the last drive and that notification is tee'd up for the next drive.
I think it would have told me I was driving on a flat tire the night before. And I really think I would have noticed it while driving. I think it went flat during the night.
This was back in September, but I believe the flat tire notification came up on the screen when I got in, before I put it in drive. I know for sure that I didn't move it an inch.
It was a bummer. We had just gotten back from a road trip to pick up the car in Jacksonville. The car had about 470 miles on it. It was my first morning to drive it to work.
