FOB not working properly

Yesterday when trying to open my front trunk i double clicked the trunk portion on my fob and the right side read door opened. I tried it again with the same response. Then i tried the rear hatch and the same door opened. Then i tried the left side door and the right door opened. No matter how i pressed the fob the same door opens.

I grabbed my backup fob and everything works as it should.

From your guys knowledge, is there a fix i can do by taking it apart or do i need a new fob?

I'd try removing the battery for an hour or so and trying it again. It does sound like it's a goner, though.

Is the car still in warranty? Maybe you could try getting them to replace it.

The car and the fob is only 8 months old.

my key fob doesn't adjust the driver settings properly --- isn't it supposed to do that too?
my X is 6mo old. . .
