I guess they won't deal with that after delivery. Still gonna lump that into my first service appointment (missing latch cover and the windshield camera issue) and see what they'll do.
What a shame. The car is doing fine otherwise. Those welding spots just stand out like a sore thumb.
I agree some look worst than others mine look ok ..it’s some kind of weld/seam filler not really a structural issue ..so a body shop fills and and paints ..surprised they won’t do as that is common
It’s not a bad welding job, it’s cracking paint over a flexible joint. I guess if you are persistent enough they will repaint it. But it will just crack again...

Looks like seam sealer. Very commonly used in modern cars. Welds are usually spot welds. Seam sealer is used to fill gaps where 2 pieces of metal overlap.
That is not a weld issue, at least per SC and they won't be able to do anything about it. Mine has that too, looks ugly but nothing you can do about it, its just luck i.e. some may have issues while others none! When they tell you SC will fix, the SC can't fix all the issues and they can send your car out to a 3rd party vendor depending on the issue.
My delivery experience was bad too and still dealing with the issues, costing me a lot of time: My Delivery Experience
Once you get at least your major issues fixed, you will feel better and there is nothing like the MX out there, enjoy the drive (or enjoy watching it drive itself!).
