That's my biggest gripe. The S is completely amazing and awesome, too bad I can't say the same about Tesla service in SK. Fortunately the car has been very reliable thus far.

Back in early 2013 when the Model S came out in Canada, I was all interested but the lack of infrastructure was a negative I could not overcome with logic. So in the spring, I put down a deposit on another EV, a Smart ED, as a "trial EV". It was a fateful decision, as my wife walked through the Mercedes dealership on the way to the Smart center in the back, sort of like how Casino's place slot machines between the entrance and the theatre/shows...but I digress...this led to the purchase of a Mercedes SUV, which she got to drive right away, while I waited 9 months for my Smart ED to be delivered.

I'm going to get to a related point to your post, just a minute while I set the scene.

So, I finally take delivery of my Smart ED and I take it everywhere on every kind of trip, and my wife is stuck gassing up the SUV and generally not enjoying her SUV as much as we both enjoyed driving that little electric car!

I showed her the math on the running costs of the SUV vs the Tesla, and that a new service center was put in 20 km away, and once the superchargers went in that allowed road trips out of Ontario, specifically Buffalo SC, we bought a Tesla and were at that new supercharger on a trip to NY City within the next month!

My point is/was that buying a Tesla for us required the availability of supporting infrastructure, and this actually ended up delaying us from getting a Tesla for two years, and wasting money on a gas SUV, but for us, practicality fed into the decision.

Now, if I lived in SK, the Tesla option would have been right out, regardless of the passion we have for EV's, and extreme dislike of gas.

Which is enough to say, thanks for your passionate decision, and your support of Tesla in the face of the market conditions in your area.

In your place, I wouldn't have any expectations of infrastructure build out in SK given the size (or lack thereof) of the market, but someone has to be first! I've met many a brave early 2013 Tesla owner here in Ontario, who also bought when the infrastructure wasn't anywhere near what it is today, and I thank them, every one of them!

I delayed buying for the same reason, but decided to go for it once I saw that they were going to build the Riviere du Loup Supercharger ....ha,ha,ha .... Jokes on me. But turns out the trip wasn't so bad last summer going home to N.S., it was only another 1100 km beyond the Drummondville SC, lol, but it actually wasn't too bad. Just had to pace myself. God bless Sun Country Highways chargers is all I can say.

I know there's a red 3 in Regina, word has it there is a 3 in Saskatoon. I have not heard anything recent though, I wonder how many 3's are in SK now. I could have ordered one months ago but decided not to.

I know of at least 10 people in Regina. 5 or 6 recently ordered the current dual motor config. The others are waiting for the standard range car.

Hopefully drive electric week will be packed with cars in Regina and Saskatoon

I have registered for the Saskatoon drive electric meet, I should have my 3 by then (ordered June 20).

I haven't seen any Model 3's in Saskatoon at all.

I think the Saskatoon meet will be a busy one.

There are at least two red 3s in Regina currently. I had the fun experience of driving my 3 and seeing a second one on the streets of Regina!!! I’ve heard anecdotally of a third one ( I know it’s not one of the two in this photo because it has a rider license plate and neither of these do). The one with the 19s is mine. It was fun to see Areo wheels and 19s side-by-side.

My friend is awaiting a red with dual motor, and I know of two other people who have ordered...

It looks like red is going to be a very popular colour on the prairies.

When I was talking to my delivery specialist in Calgary, he said that they were pleasantly surprised how many cars were reserved in Saskatchewan. Hopefully lots of those are converted to purchases.

Adrian, you should have come into La Bodega that night. That's John car from Saskatoon parked behind yours.

We were having a Saskatchewan Electric Vehicle Association meetup that night. Join the group on Facebook!

Next time anyone talks to Tesla, tell them we need our superchargers. It's our turn now haha

That’s hilarious! I’m not on Facebook anymore but it would have really helped in this situation, lol!!!

Too bad I missed the meeting :(

Saskatoon guy here: put in an order for black AWD (non-P) on June 27th. I was a line waiter in Calgary. Can't wait until I get it!

Question for the guys in Regina: how did you make the drive from Calgary? Or was the car shipped directly to you?
I ordered on June 31st myself!

From what I have heard, it seems most people have been picking up their cars in Calgary. Slowly making their way back home on the suncountry level 2 network

I'm really hoping there is at least one supercharger between Regina and Calgary by the time my car shows up

Have you heard anything from tesla at all?

I haven't heard a peep, and in two days their original timeline for delivery of 4 to 8 weeks will have passed.

I am having mine delivered, what about you ?
