Gen 3 Charger not connecting to the internet

Hi brains trust,
We have just had our new gen 3 charger intalled yesterday, we have started the commisiong sequence and we cannot for the life of us get it to see or connect to the internet. we have the telstra gen3 modem and even when i change the settings to only be wap2 the charger still dosnt see the modem. it sees all the other networs around the area but just not ours. has anyone had a fix for this or a work around ????
 
EDIT: the network can be seen by all phones and compters in the house and in the settings on the gen 3 charger under update there is no option to update the firmwear, there is only the option to install then it goes searching for the internet which its not connected to so we cannot update it either.
 
I this is an older post and you have probably resolved this issue. But for others the router must support the 2.4GHz network and WPA2 security. Ensure you have enabled both the 5GHz and 2.4GHz networks, and if they have different SSIDs be sure you choose the one for the 2.4GHz network.
