Glass cover with RACV

I’m insured with RACV and debating whether to pay the extra for preferred repairer.

I have glass cover included.

RACV say they use O’Briens, O’Brien’s say that don’t do Tesla.

Worth spending the extra to ensure it would go to Tesla should something happen, or would it end up going there regardless?

As long as the insurer has the obligation to repair your glass (per your insurance policy), they will use whoever can supply the required glass. As always, check your insurance policy coverage, inclusions and exclusions.

As the cameras are on the windscreen Tesla need to calibrate the camera on the new windscreen. As someone who has had three windscreens replaced, O'Briens always say they can't fix it, and then Tesla does it. It just takes a few extra days to go through that process. ymmv.
