Why and how come? Tesla states clearly that current owners have advantage over non owners. It is up to you how/when/where to buy.

Does seem like gaming the system rather than legitimate ownership. Depending on what Tesla is trying to do (stated: reward existing owners for their loyalty), doesn't seem to fit the spirit of it.

Also doesn't seem like anyone who wasn't a pre-existing owner at pre-order time should get priority if the true intent was to reward loyalty. (Unless Loyalty == owning another non-3 Tesla... which I could see being their definition)

If people want to pay a premium of a couple grand (a few lease payments) in order to get bumped a few months, more power to them, I say. Personally, I don't want my car that bad.
