Good point. And to be honest, by "really want," I mean I haven't ever looked for or considered purchasing one. I just thought of it and it seemed clever to see that frame on a Tesla. But yeah. Maybe not.

I guess it might have something to do with the timing. I test-drove last March in Santa Barbara when they they were about to open the store there. My wife passed by the Natick Mall store last weekend and were handed a sketch for the Model X - I suppose they would have one on display soon.

I test drove an S in Natick on April 8th.

They have at least one X for test drives now, but they're currently only offering rides to reservation holders.

This gives me a good idea for a prank. Ship empty boxes with Tesla's Fremont return address to my Model 3 reservation holding friends. Or just a slip of paper inside that says "We appreciate you. -Tesla"
