Hawaii - Let's Count Teslas!

I just updated Maui for the first time in a while, and added 8 to our count. Just curious, why aren't there any Model 3's listed for Oahu, yet? Our we waiting for plates, still? There are 2 Model 3's on Maui, but I haven't seen them yet, so can't add them yet.

I suspect we should be seeing plates for the first batch of Model 3s delivered in mid-February very soon! There are over 50 here, maybe more by now. Who will be the first to add a Model 3 (with plate #) to the count???

We are hearing reports of it taking 4-8 weeks to get their plates. So someone getting their cars in mid Feb will be lucky to see a tag on their car right now. I believe it will be at least 2 maybe 3 more weeks before we see any even on Oahu.

I just updated a bunch...I finally got around to organizing the notes on my phone.

We're over 1k for the state!

Here's the breakdown of Tesla colors based on our count:

White 29.5%
Black 16.8%
Grey 14.3%
Blue 11.1%
Red 10.5%
Silver 9.7%
Titanium 3.0%
Green 1.0%
Brown 0.9%
Sig Red 0.4%

I took the liberty of updating a bunch of the Grey to Midnight Silver (since that's the current version of Grey that is available, and has been since early 2016. I'd guess that there are a whole lot more that 'should' be changed, but since I didn't have definitive notes on all, I left alone the Greys that I wasn't certain of.

Any chance you can edit that summary to include the color distinction?

I just added a few more to the Maui count. I'm wondering if Maui is starting to enforce front plates, as in the last 4 weeks, I've seen quite a few lower-numbered plates (3xxx - 6xxx) that I had never added to the list before.

I just spotted my first Model 3! Dang, what a beautiful car! Added it to the list, first "3" for Maui.

We are just over 1,100 cars on our count! With all the Model 3s and new S/Xs being delivered each month, there must be at least 1,500 cars in the state. So keep a lookout and post any plates here or on the google doc: Hawaii Tesla Log

I just added about 10 to Maui's total. With all of the 3's and X's, and even new S's I've seen recently (cars with temp tags), I'm guessing we're over 300 total Teslas on Maui by now.

Just noticed there are only 22 Model 3s on our count. There has to be at least a couple hundred out there. Keep a lookout and log their plates and color on the google doc! Hawaii Tesla Log

@nanimac, I've seen several more '3's here on Maui as well, but most either have temporary tags or no front plate - which makes it difficult to log. I'll continue to try, though!

Ta-Daaaaa !!!! (insert drum roll, please) We've reached seeing and reporting 1,000 Tesla's on Oahu as of today.

We have friends visiting from the mainland, and they went to Lanai yesterday and spotted a Model X (P100D) at the Four Seasons. Apparently, they have two, and are getting six more! Anyway, Lanai is now officially on the board, as I added it to the count. I also updated the Maui numbers, but only had a few to add this time.
