Help understanding software version

So are there 2 separate software pipelines, one for the general features and one for the FSD ? and are they co-related or do they update in their independent streams ?

I have the following software versions which seem very off compared to what other folks are posting here

That looks like one of the "new car" software versions. Teslas leave the factory with specific software versions that have 3 digits in the 3rd octet (2022.44.XXX is yours), and it takes "some time" before they get an update to one of the "production" ones.

"Some time" could be anywhere from 24 hours to 6 weeks ish, and the car will happily report it is "up to date" as it has the latest software that is assigned to it.

That has nothing to do with FSD branch vs regular branch, etc.

Tesla never (ever) has the entire fleet of cars on the same software version at any particular time, nor is it like an iPhone where you can read about the latest version and go trigger your car to download it when you want. You just have to wait for it to be assigned to your car, and there WILL BE times that you read about some software version or other that you never even get because your car skips it, for some slightly newer version a few weeks after you read all the hoopla about some other version.

As for FSD beta branch vs regular production branch, thats a thing, but anyone on the FSD beta knows they are.

The main production software branch is separate from the FSD beta branch. Each software release is complete in that, non-FSD beta cars get one software download and FSD beta cars get a different download.
