Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa, AL 8kW Destination Charger

I'll be staying at the Tuscaloosa, AL Hotel Indigo next weekend and they have 2 Tesla 8kW chargers onsite. I assume that this charger is slower than my NEMA 14-50 (240v-40a) at home? When charging at 40a I usually get about 29mi of range per hour of charge. The math is coming out to about 10.8 hours from zero to full.

Hypothetically, doing the math of an 8kW charger with a 100kW battery back equals 12.5 hours to full assuming the battery is at zero in this scenario.

Am I off base here or somewhat in the ballpark?

8 kW means it's 40A at 208V commercial power rather than 240V as you have at home. That's about 25 miles range/ hr. Your math is correct, but hopefully you won't be arriving with 0 charge.
