I have it hanging straight down from the ceiling a couple of inches above the floor.

Not sure if there is truth to this but I read it’s a bad idea to wind/loop up electrical cords as if generates heat?

Anyone heard this before?

Thanks for starting this thread. My current setup has my UMC hanging down like yours, but was considering flipping my outlet so that the UMC goes upward (and then somehow mounting the UMC to the wall sideways - for aesthetics). Looking forward to seeing everyone else’s posts!

I let the UMC hang from the outlet, but then bought the holder for the handle on the Tesla store.
