Betting your charge time is even slower than my 120V outlet with that setup. ;-)

Why? From my Nema 10-30 I get up to 22 mph, usually 17-19. My house couldn't accommodate the faster Nema 14-50. I don't know why you said that, could you or someone help me out and explain?

Using an industrial swing arm to allow the cable to be either flat against the wall when not in use, or out of the way when charging.

I have a cabinet on the wall behind my car, so I have a very similar setting.

I use the door of the cabinet to hold my cable and the plug gets just above my car plug when I open the cabinet door.

Looks like I'm not nerdy enough. My cord lays on the garage floor. The outlet is on the far inside wall from the door. I drive in, grab the plug off the floor and plug in. "Vwa-lah!"

I was thinking of taking apart an extension cord reel and putting in the cable.
Anyone else try this?
I know the cable is thicker and heavier but it is also shorter so I was thinking the spring mechanism might still handle it.

There are power and signal wires in the Tesla cord. How are you going to make those work with the reel?
Most reel type cords are rated for 20A or less.
