How are you hanging your UMC charging cable? Post it!

Using an industrial swing arm to allow the cable to be either flat against the wall when not in use, or out of the way when charging.

NEMA 10-30 outlet. Fortunately, my dryer uses a regular socket/outlet so this 10-30 outlet was unused and available for my UMC

I went to Home Depot & picked up some PVC pipe fasteners, and ran the cable thru them.

I put the holder a bit away from the plug....

This gives me just enough cable to reach the car without too much sag.

Not sure if there is truth to this but I read it’s a bad idea to wind/loop up electrical cords as if generates heat?

Anyone heard this before?

That applies only when they are energized.

My solution to protecting the UMC from direct rain and snow while also providing an area to hang the cord.

My HPWC is mounted on the side of the house. I put a 3D printed holder on the side of the vinyl fence post, so I can charge the car without opening the gate to get to the HPWC. Makes plugging the car in a 2-second affair.
