What company treats you like this? I’m so frustrated with Tesla!
A few months ago, (Oct 28th) I finally got my car after several painful changes to the delivery date! I should have canceled my order then because now I’m stuck with my model 3 parked in my garage... expired tag.
When I finally got my car, the car came with a temporary tag- was told I’ll get the main tag in mail.
After a couple weeks, I get call that I need to come back and sign some papers... apparently they forgot to get my signature on the banks check! so we go and sign the check.
A few days later, I get another call to go back and sign a few more paperworks... seriously? What company operates like that? I was shocked to see how Tesla operates! I was getting to know how Tesla works... I was shocked... but I thought maybe it’s a one time thing so I kept my hopes high and moved on.
Couple weeks go by and my temp tag is about to expire so I call them (don’t expect them to do that) I was told to come in and get another temp tag... now I’m upset... but none the less, I wanted to believe in Tesla and the people, process... I mean I love what it stands for but the people and the process has been nothing short of frustration.
Anyway, guess what? Yup- my 2nd temp tag is about to expire and now I’m really f*kin pissed... and like expected- dint hear from them, I had to go to their west palm beach office for the 4th time!
This time they couldn’t give me a 3rd temp tag... apparently they are only allowed to give 2 out. So I put my foot down and demanded I talk to someone because now, I cannot drive that car the next day until I get a tag!
I talked to the delivery specialist and she said there is nothing she could do... but will try to expedite the process ... I asked for a rental and she said she will talk to her manager and see if thats even possible and keep me updated! Seriously? I was just shocked at how I blew my money ... the whole thing has been a mess... no one takes you seriously...
Anyway the next day, I had enough! Not having heard from Tesla about a rental and me having to go out of town... ahhhhh!
I was going frikin insane and fighting it out over the phone with my delivery person and her manager, I just lost it! I got hung up on... I just couldn’t believe what was going on... we had no car and they dint give 2 sh*ts about it!
I called the main office to talk to someone who will listen to me and do something... so I find out that Tesla has no complaints number! You have to send them an email! WOW!!
Finally after sometime, I get an email for a car rental at enterprise! Wow... is this what I paid my hard earned frikin 60K for? This is pure none sense! I had no choice but to pick up a basic car until this is resolved.
After waiting a week, still no tag so I try to call them- 1 hr wait! I had to hang up and try again after a few hrs- same thing!
Tried the next day- same thing! Who waits that long? So I decide to send them an email - never heard from anyone.
After a few days, I send an email to the complains email - it’s been a few days and no response! I was hoping they will at least upgrade my rental from Camry to a Tesla so I can at least not miss out on the fun. Right now I’m paying over $1500/ month for a car that just sits in my garage!
It’s been 2 weeks now and no plate, email or a call from Tesla!
Today, I went to DMV office to see if I can get the damn tag myself- after waiting for an hour, I’m told they can’t do that because Tesla has NOT yet issued the title! Holly molly- WTF!
I am at my wits end and don’t know what to do... not even sure if I’ll get my 2018 tax credits now!
I’m hoping someone that cares and loves Tesla will contact me and help me out... in the meantime, I’ve decided to contact my bank and see if they can help.
As much as I loved Tesla ... I have a whole new hate for it- every time I look at the car in my garage- it just reminds me of what a mistake I made! A beautiful product with a horrible process and non-caring people!
