How many changes did you have to your estimated delivery date

I had a lot. Started as being ready by end of June (ordered in May) and slowly shifted to September and finally delivered 9/4/21 - 3.5 months later. ETA when ordering was 2-7 weeks.
What is the UK ordering experience like?
When ordering, the system stated that my config would be available mid July ( mid June if I chose the bigger wheels).

Two weeks later, my account states "Estimated Delivery Date May 8 -June 5."

Based on members experience in the UK (Shanghai made card) is this likely to lengthen?
Also, if it is better for me to receive the car mid July, ad per the original estimate ,can I request a delay if Tesla confirm an earlier date?
Thank you.
( Then again, perhaps I ought to read the Ts&Cs 🙄).
PS Apparently, the first people not to read the apple Ts&Cs were Adam and Eve🙄sorry)

Wow! I guess you are waiting for a Freemont car. Which model? Sounds like an S.

I think the combination of Blue + 7 seater + Gemini = a unicorn car.
I'm not worried, it will get here when it gets here. The longer I wait the more upgrades it will come with, and I'm paying $9k less than the current MSRP thanks to my order date, so it's all good.

Up to change #4. Ordered 1/31 with an EDD of August 2022. The changes seem to still dance around that original EDD - from Jun-Jul back to Aug, back to Jun-Jul, and, finally Jul-Sep. But, this thread is giving me delivery anxiety, since it seems I have MANY more changes to come.

Hang in there. Be patient. It will happen. 🤙

That’s why it is estimated. It’s a guess based on current day figures and analysis. It’s annoying to see it and it would be easier to see due in March 2022 as opposed to some range that adjusts frequently.
Frustrating, noisy, useless indicator - imho would have been better to stick with original month/year until delivery is imminent or delay is certain. This erratic thing makes it impossible to plan - rushed charger installs for nothing, trips on hold etc.

I am curious. Is there any other manufacturer that manages build to order process any better? Sure the EDD changes are frustrating and Tesla should work on making it more predictable but the alternative of no solid info for months would be even more frustrating.
Yes - I know of at least 2 other brands - we’ve had 6 of one and 9 of the other in the last 22 years. One build was 2 months early (feb this year - we were busy with work, delivery was seamless a week later). The other was 9 months late (they bent over backwards - free parts / service and eventually a nice loaner (really nice) for the last month of waiting.

Tesla is young company, early days, hot product (welcome to mainstream) - some chaos expected but given where they have chosen to price themselves better predictability is expected as they grow up.

That being said, don’t know any dissatisfied Tesla owners - looking forward to my delivery but have given up on the app/EDD thing :)

6 changes. Started off at Feb 19-March 19, now we’re currently at May 23-June 20.

Congratulations!
Thanks!

For the record my EDD has changed two additional times after the confirmation text message from Tesla, which brings the current total number of changes to 15.

Again, don't fret the EDD. As George E. P. Box said, "Essentially all models are wrong, but some are useful." --The EDD is not a useful model.
The car will arrive as soon as it is possible for them to make it. If you ordered a pearl white multi-coat, maybe call it Gandalf - it always arrives precisely when it means to.🧙‍♂️

Good luck out there! May your shipment be fast and your panels well-aligned!
