You‘re right on the tec front. The Lightning software is incredibly bad (multiple vendors and really poorly thought thru design). I own one and love it’s in spite of these deficiencies. I was a Tesla earlier adopter and lived with things they got wrong. The only difference is that Ford can’t fix a ton of what’s wrong without totally redesigning everything. Unfortunately they don’t own their programmers and a redesign is too big a project to take on now. Next Lightning will be much better (I hope). I view anyone buying a Lightning as a fellow earlier adaptor and should learn to live with it. The ones that don’t get it will sell quickly (that’s how I got a pretty good deal on my low milage Lightning this past summer). The CT will have a fraction of this type of trauma. And I really doubt CT quick sellers later will be selling for the same reasons as Lighting quick sellers.Wouldn’t buy one. Ford has the truck part down but they don’t understand tech. Tesla is the leader in tech and drivetrain/battery.
BUT I would buy my Lightning again and love what it can do now. And I have not see anything that would make me go thru with my CT reservation. And I don’t think CT buyers are wrong in any in way. They will like the truck. Some will love it.
