Spotify is free and is an app not tied to Tesla. So to be clear, I need to have a Spotify account and this does not come with the Premium connectivity that I get with Tesla Model Y LR?

Simply create an account.
Interesting. I have Premium so I can't confirm otherwise.I couldn't get Spotify to work with a free account, it needed to be a premium account.

But I wouldn't see why you couldn't use it on the base subscription.
Seriously... It remembers I want my playlist on shuffle so I just hit the top song then skip to the next. But a shuffle button would be a nice add.Now if I could only figure out how to start playing my playlist in ‘shuffle’ mode....
I would sometimes see this message after I linked my Spotify Premium account to Amazon Alexa as the default music streaming service. I switched the Amazon Alexa default music streaming service back to Amazon Music and have not had this problem again.I've all of a sudden been getting "Spotify is playing on another device" errors. I just refresh and it plays no problem. Any idea what this is?
