...or the autumn looking trees in the background of the photos, in the northern hemisphere, in February. The USS in the bumpers are also oddly confounding. Cameras on headlights that can reflect their own light as glare, gather dirt and moisture and other crud from the road, with no obvious method of self cleaning that luxury cars offer?

But then again, where else would Tesla place cameras for true up-front facing imaging than the corners where the headlight would be? Somewhat logical, and protected and in keeping for a simple appearance. As long as they've solved the glare problem, and can deal with rain/dirt. The side repeater cams did look a bit different, but there was no close enough photos of those to confirm a new camera or housing. What would be more telling is the three cameras in the front of the mirror housing reduced down to two 5K cams, which is what the spec indicates for HW4.

Mobileye+Zeekr's layout is in the side mirrors.

Side mirrors are a good spot, and other car companies place cams there for their 360º views, but Tesla badly needs real bumper height front facing camera(s). The HW4 front radar will probably do a better job of picking up objects close to the ground such as parking curbs and garage walls. But frontal vision for pedestrians, children playing and animal AI detection would also be invaluable. There are twelve camera inputs on the new HW4 computer, of which eleven are active.
