I wonder how Autopilot would cope with this....

That is exactly how US75 works going north from downtown Dallas, TX. The right lane keeps becoming an exit-only lane and peels off, so you must constantly shift left. Even if you start out in the left-most lane, you will eventually find yourself in a right-hand exit only lane.

But depending on how it’s mapped (or not in navigation maps data), AP could end up just ignoring the lines and go by the road boundaries.

I’ve tried FSDb a number of times in unmapped areas that had some lane markings or just construction zones, and it would sometimes wildly swing the steering wheel erratically and not know where to go in some areas or just completely ignore random lane looking lines on the ground and head down the “road” just fine. It wasn’t consistent.

Or it might just throw up the red “two hands on the wheel and take over now!” alert and alarm sounds.
