It can. However, there are a few features that are very energy draining that are on by default, and I think Tesla is not doing a good job of helping people to be aware that this is the case. It's tribal knowledge here on the forum that there are about three main features that need to be turned off to get the car into a real low consumption mode so it will have no trouble with 2 weeks or longer of being parked. Tesla really needs to institute a one single button solution that is labeled for Long Term Parking, or something like that, which will collectively set those energy hog functions off with a single button press.
