This is installed so that they sit perfectly vertical as designed. They have a special mounting bracket. Here’s the installation manual:

Great, thanks for the pics. Looks nice! I have to decide if I cao get over their logo on the back. That's one thing I'm personally not a fan of.

You could just get black on black or grey on black and barely see it.

Has any one tried RPM Gen 2 mud flaps? This one doesn't require any drilling.

I believe that now the hard work is done. Removing the flaps in spring should be simple by just leaving the mounting hardware intact by putting the bolts and washers back without the flaps.

I got these as a Christmas gift, but I haven't installed them yet. Do you have to drill a hole to get these in? Or is it just removing grommets? I would be super afraid to drill anything on this car.

I would hold them up to the area they're to be installed and see where the holes line up; and also see if there are screws included in the packaging. That should tell you if you'll need to drill.
If you do need to drill, it's probably just into the plastic fender liner, which is perfectly safe to drill, just make sure you're not drilling into something behind it. However in that location on the Model 3s there isn't anything critical and there's tons of clearance room behind those fender liners.
