My insurance company, American Family insurance, is saying my Model 3 VIIN is showing it is a Long range model.
Mine is a Standard range and I confirmed the VIN is correct.
But they are saying the insurance premium is not affected by which trim level it is.

How could that be?
Isn't faster and more expensive car more expensive to insure?

The insurance company knows what you paid for the car, so the trim level doesn't really matter. Faster doesn't necessarily cost more to insure. Insurers consider many factors to determine your premium.
