I had my MY with Tesla insurance. My new MY has FSD and I asked Tesla insurance if my FSD would be coverd if I had a total loss. They said 'NO" I was floored! So I switched to COSTO Insurance and they said as long as my FSD was part of my original equipment and not added on later its 100% covered! It was aslo less expensive!

Does this mean that Tesla Insurance doesn't cover FSD even if it was purchased with the car (as opposed to add-on after sale)? Wild. Guess I will have to check what Costco will quote me as well.

Yes FSD not covered by Tesla Insurance. Call Tesla Insurance and confirm with them: I did. Like I stated before I was blown away that Tesla Insurance will noit cover FSD!

100% confirmed that this is for an FSD purchased with the car or post sales?

Yes I purchased from factory and delivered with FSD.
