I hate the wimpy interior lights in my MY. There are plenty of aftermarket replacements but I really only want the glove compartment, center console, frunk and trunk. Anyone have a source?
You can check out any of these vendors below, be careful with Amazon as there's lots of fake stuff. Some of the vendors below also sell on Amazon but make sure they're the supplier when adding to your cart.
There is no replacement for the frunk light. You can wire up an additional light for the center console or use a motion activated light inside the console cubby (if that's the area you're referring to) or a light below screen pointed towards the phone charging area.
Two cars back I had a Mini-Cooper and really liked that you could change the ambient lighting to six different colors or set it to alternate colors. That was from the factory on a 2008 model. I think a minimalist tech car like the Tesla should at least do the same. I did buy some footwell LEDs from eBay. Standard cheap stuff from China, but any color looks better than the plain white. I'll do the puddle lights next. The Abstract Ocean ones are at least 2.5x the price of the highest rated ones on Amazon. Are they really that much better?
I order some from Abstract Ocean - their quality has been great.
Agreed it would be nice to have this feature.. my 2013 Range Rover had a colour wheel to adjust the ambient lighting color... I think it’s a common feature in high end cars .
