On both sides of my rear trim the interior panels aren’t aligning with one another. Is this something that service will fix under warranty? I was told at pickup in December that they looked ok but they seem to have drooped down more over time.
I’ve got a service appt for something else in a couple weeks—you think they’ll do this on top of it? My bigger issue isn’t so much this issue—it’s how does a car like this get made to feel cheaper than a Civic? I was in an Audi S4 and an Acura MDX this weekend and both feel so solid and well built. Then I go into my car and it goes fast and the tech is good but it’s built like a toy.

Unfortunately, Tesla's QC prior to delivery is not stellar. They seem to be fine with using the customer as trim QC department, which is dumb. Fixing that trim of your's is simple so don't worry about that. As far as comparing to Audi and Acura, there are trade offs. Tesla vehicles are vastly superior to those brands when it comes to architecture and technology. Pretty much anything under skin is not even comparable. The "quality" of the interior design is dependent on individual perception. I personally like the minimalist interior, but definitely agree the other brands are more plush and luxurious feeling unless you happen to get an Audi or Acura lemon. Get your punch list taken care of and you'll be happy.
