Is it normal to roll back on hills?

After driving stick for years I like that it rolls back. It gives it that sporty feel of you have to still have nimble feet to get the job done. We have some huge hills so we are used to getting from the brake to the "gas" and having to coordinate that with the clutch, only now there is no clutch to work. I hate the creep feature and only used it once in the test drive car because the specialist insisted. If there were a hill holder feature I would turn it off, despite my stick shift golf having it.

Yeah so the car can beep at you for holding two pedals. No thanks. Hill hold please. Most cars have it now, super easy fix.

I don't see the need for a hill hold feature, but no doubt Tesla could add such a feature through an OTA update.

I drive a lot of hills in the San Francisco area. On a steep incline I quickly learned how to hold the brake pedal with my left foot and just as I press down on the "go" pedal with my right foot I lift up with my left foot. Usually the car doesn't beep and I do not drift backwards a noticeable amount. It's pretty easy. If I don't get it quite right and the car beeps it's no big deal, no harm done.

Some people value one pedal driving. Some people value one foot driving. Some people value both. Some people value not having the car beep at them when the driver is doing nothing "incorrect" and the car is not malfunctioning. Y People MV.

I want a well-implemented hill hold that never beeps at me, and doesn't conflict with the one-pedal driving that I greatly appreciate for city driving.
