12 volt battery life only 3 years or 5 years? I don't understand

The battery on my previous car, a 2004 Mazda 3, lasted 7 years. One would expect the 12 volt battery on a Tesla to last longer.

ICE use the battery differently. Tesla need 12volt replaced more often due to heavy use while the car isn't "running" so it cycles much more.

Your Tesla is more like a high end laptop computer, smartphone or tablet... that's running all the time.

Your 16-year older 2004 Mazda is more like a flashlight that you only turn on every now and then... with the computer power of a Microsoft Zune. (Google it)

HUGE difference in battery consumption, cycles, etc.
