Is Owning a Tesla Y Manageable in a State Without a Service Center?

^ good point. I am surprised that independent Tesla repair shops are not sprouting up. Is there a clause preventing this? Lack of training? I DIY repair and maintain my cars for years. Having a garage lift helps. Therefore I've not been to dealership/mechanic shop for a long time apart from recalls. I told my wife that I will not be able to work on the Tesla as much as my other ICEVs. For one I don't know enough about EV and second one... I do not want to get fried. Fortunately the nearest Tesla SC is 10mins away.
Still I do not like to wait preferring more control and dare I say quality work.
There are a few shops around in areas that have a high level of Teslas, but in the OP's case, there probably aren't many Teslas in his area so the demand for 3rd party mechanics is probably too low to justify it.
