I placed an order for a 2016 Model S 75 on 1/25/2019. I forgot to click the Request Pics button before I put down the deposit. I thought I'd put down the deposit first and then request the pics. But as soon as I completed the transaction, the vehicle listing was removed from Tesla's Used Inventory page, so now I don't know how to request pictures. Any suggestions?

At this point, I have already provided all the information EXCEPT the loan application details. I am in the process of shopping around for a better interest rate. My question is whether it's required to provide loan application details to Tesla before they move to the next process, or should I wait for someone to reach out first? It's not clear to me what the next step should be. No one from Tesla has contacted me yet. Are they waiting for me to secure the loan first before they contact me, or should I wait until I know the delivery date? I don't want to secure a loan when I don't even know the final delivery date. It seems that their delivery timelines are all over the place. Some people get their cars within 10 days, but many seem to wait for at least a month if not more.

A representative will reach out to you by phone. Happened to me in the afternoon. No worries. They'll explain the process....Loan approval from tesla was very quick. You should still request the pics - they have them. Just in case. Congrats! Which options and how much was it? Did you track it for a few weeks ?

I was to take delivery of my 2015 S70 CPO today at 2pm. Tesla just called 1 hour before and told me they found a water leak while detailing the car. WTF! I assume the 70 point check doesn't include looking for leaks. I am LIVID! We are getting started on the wrong foot. All I have had is lack of communication and excuse over the past week. Get the car in the shop today and fix it! I turned in my lease car today based upon delivery confirmation. I took the day off from work too. I am not happy!

Its too late.
I tried to buy a cpo, the rep in Miami was a jerk. Couldn't see car, touch car, and he wouldn't send pictures.
I backed out. Bought a car off internet .
I wish prospective buys woukd read all the horrible post on here about cpo.
Oh, its changed its name to .Used Cars. A lot of folks have seen this change.

hmm. good luck. don't you have to click a box saying 'i reviewed all pictures and agree that this car looks like a piece of sh*t and accept any and all damages' before you put down your deposit?

Okay, I'm getting really worried now after reading all the responses. A CPO adviser finally sent an email with a link to the pictures. First off, I've never seen pictures of such poor quality. It's almost impossible to figure out the condition of the car. Second, the car that I put down the deposit for was MS 75, but the pictures show a badge that says 70. I called the CPO adviser, and he said he wasn't sure what was going on. He thought it was possibly a range upgrade, but couldn't confirm. Then a delivery specialist sent an email asking me a few questions regarding financing and trade in, etc. This was 5 days ago. Since then, Tesla has gone silent. I've sent several emails and left voice messages, but no response so far. I've told them that I am not going to move forward until they can confirm, in writing, that the battery has been upgraded to 75. And if it is, then they need to change the badge. So far ... crickets!!

I must admit that so far I'm not impressed with this company at all! I'm a reasonable person. I can understand that it takes time for them to get the car moved to the delivery center (Dallas), but it is extremely disrespectful to ignore a paying customer. The least they can do is to respond to my emails or phone calls and give me a target delivery date. Not sure how long I have to wait before I ask for my money back.

I ordered a Model S CPO on 2/3/19. Today due to some family emergency, I cannot take delivery of the car and want to cancel my order.
Since the car is not ready for delivery yet and it has been less than 72 hours, what is the best way for me to get my $2500 deposit back?

jyotip11: The first thing I would do is to send a written email to Tesla stating your intention to cancel before your 72 hours are up. You should do it asap while you continue to seek answers. Knowing Tesla CPO, it will take days, if not weeks, for them to even acknowledge your email, let alone returning your deposit. An email at least establishes an electronic trail.

Thanks guys and specifically 'arafiq'. Based on what I learnt in this forum, I did send them an email last night requesting to cancel my order.
This morning I got a phone call from my sales lady, asking me to clarify and I explained. She called back an hour later stating that Tesla has accepted my request and my deposit will be returned within 4 weeks.
Hurray for Tesla, my sales lady, knowledge from this forum. I will buy a Tesla CPO soon and from the same sales lady. I am a Tesla believer.

I also am waiting for delivery of my CPO in Atlanta. It's a 2016 Model S 90D. It appears to have been built in late Dec. 2015, after they started putting VIN's for 2016 on the cars. It lists 0-60 as 5.4 sec. I thought all the 90D's were 4.2 sec. Anyone know if that's just what they print on the site?

Tesla doesnt really perform QA.. You will learn the hard way like I did.. My brand NEW Model S had a cracked B- Pillar cover and had the green inside exposed. Anyone who looked into the car could clearly and easily see it but no one bothered to deal with it till I pointed it out.

I wanted to provide a quick update. On Friday, I got a call from Tesla out of nowhere, telling me that my car was ready to be picked up the following day. While I was pleasantly surprised, I honestly wasn't expecting that they would go from not providing any feedback to 'hey, come pick up your car tomorrow!' I worked with my lender to get the funds disbursed within hours, and got confirmation.

We went to pick up the car @ 2 pm Saturday. To my surprise, they had already changed the badge from 70 to 75, so kudos to Tesla for taking care of my request! I must say the car is in EXCELLENT shape! The interior is as pristine as it can be for a car that is over 2 years old, and the exterior has no visible issues, barring a few minor scratches (you have to look really hard to find them). All in all, very pleased with the condition of the car. I'll give Tesla an A- in this department. The only complaint I have is that the delivery specialist seemed to be in a hurry. I really had to push him to show me all the features and perform a walk through. He just wanted me to be out of there asap. But it's not the end of the world, lol!

So now, I have to take care of two major things:
1. Change my insurance from GEICO to Ameriprise (Costco discount). GEICO is asking for a whopping $290/month to insure the Tesla. I got a quote from Ameriprise (same terms as Geico) @ $124/month. For anyone who is buying a Tesla, please make sure you shop around as the rates vary considerably. I don't know why Geico is so much more expensive.

2. Find an electrician to install a 240 volt circuit in my garage. I was not expecting to take possession of the car so quickly, so wasn't prepared. On Monday, I will have to find an electrician. Hopefully, I can stay under a thousand bucks. If anyone can recommend a good and affordable electrician in the Dallas area (I live near Allen), please let me know.

It has been cold and rainy in Dallas for the last 2-3 days, so I haven't had a chance to drive the car much. However, I will say that coming from a Mercedes E550 (V8, 0-60 in 5.2 secs), it was not a jaw dropping moment for me. I guess I'm already used to a fast sedan. The Tesla, for some reason, feels a bit heavy in the initial 0-30 miles but then pick up speed. So far, I definitely preferred the drive and nimbleness of the Model 3 that I test drove a few months ago. But, I guess that's to be expected since the Model S is a much heavier car.

I will post my impressions once the damn rain stops and I can drive the car a bit more.

In summary, despite my misgivings, Tesla came through and I got a great car in excellent shape!

Glad to hear you got a good one, hopefully I'll be as lucky! So it's a 75 not a 75D? If that's the case, I could see why going from the E550 to the 75 wouldn't seem to be much, if any of an upgrade (speed wise). They are likely similar 0-60, but the 75 might actually be slower in highway passing (50-70). It's a significantly different beast than the Mercedes, you'll have to let us know what you think after you've had a bit of time with it.

Picked up my 2016 Tesla S 90D CPO on Wednesday in Decatur, GA. Would have prefered Alpharetta, GA - closer to home but Tesla contacts in California said I had to pick it up in Decatur. After 90 minute drive arrived and my car was almost ready. People there did a good job moving me through paperwork and we watched as they brought my car up and attached it to the Supercharger. Talked to service and they asked why I hadn't picked it up in Alpharetta - so much for people in California listening. While it charged a worker finished cleaning it. We got temp plates and we were off. We thought we had looked the car over, but during the ride home we realized there was dust all over the major screen. Also the inside of the windshield had that film on it and needed a thorough cleaning. There was also sticky stuff on the outside of the front window. After one stoplight on a lonely road I tried accelerating from start and it threw my wife's head back! Wow, what a car. Turns out they don't turn on sensor warnings - seems like a thing they should do as new owners won't know they are off and will assume they will be warned if they get close to anything. My car had 30,000 miles but had new tires. Great car.

Glad you both ended up with great cars! I am shopping for a P85D on the East coast and nearly every car I request pictures of has curb rash, dents and scratches. Is Tesla doing any refurbishing at all? This is the kind of stuff even a normal dealer with used cars would take care of with non-cpo cars.

Thanks
