Nice! I haven't seen White/Tan with CF yet, be sure to post pics when it arrives!

Thanks. Hope it turns out as nice as I pictured it. Color agony is brutal.

Hi Hussain,

The extra $15k for a 1 second 0-60 advantage and having active air suspension means more moving parts so more to go wrong long term. I decided against the Pano roof in the end largely because in FL it might turn out to be a liability with the extra heat developed and potential problems with it later on (leaking etc). I've had sunroofs before and found down here in FL I rarely used them open.

Some of my same thoughts. Purchasing the extended warranty helped with some of it.

In Arizona, 8 months a year are perfect for the sun roof. You forget that real quick the other 4 months though. With that humidity in Florida, I can't say I blame you.

Hi Daniel,

When some of us ordered the Panoramic Roof Tesla advertised that it would come with a manual sun shade. We are not sure of the status of that promised feature. It is true that the Panoramic Roof might only see limited use in Florida. However, it should be noted that it provides almost two inches of additional headroom for the passengers in the rear seats.

Hi Larry,

I'd heard that originally Tesla did mention the Pano roof would have a manual sun shade. As you say, nobody is sure IF they'll actually do it. The comment about the Pano roof adding an extra 2" headroom for rear seat passengers is true. I am rarely likely to have rear seat passengers often.

I just heard today from my DS via email, the delivery date has been put back to the 10th now. Not sure why? I called to find out and it went to his voicemail so maybe Monday I'll know.

Of course it is, have I ever lied to you before?

Maybe you should have gone for a Roadster.

Seriously, congratulations you're only just a few days away!

I received a call from the Tampa service center today at 5:30 to inform me that my car was in production and asking me to fax a copy of my drivers license and insurance card they also asked for the last four of my SSN# and I thought that was a bit odd, I can understand the license & insurance but not the SSN were any of you folks asked for this information as well? I told him I would drop it off to him in person on Monday at the service center in Tampa.

No. When I was at the SC last week they asked for my driver license and insurance card only. Are you financing your Tesla?

Its been a while, but I don't recall being asked for our SSN#s. We paid cash and paid the Delivery Specialist the balance when our car was delivered to our home.

Welcome to the forums and congratulations on you imminent delivery.

That makes sense, if you aren't using the performance features no sense paying for them. For me personally though, I had ordered a new Porsche, then I saw this car and all the features, reviews, and test drive had me convinced.

I am a die-hard Porsche enthusiast, my last 7 cars have been 911's / 911 turbo's, but I do not like the direction Porsche is going in with the larger wheelbase, makes a sports car feel like a GT car, and the lack of option for a manual transmission, that was more than I could handle from my favorite sports car company. Ironically, the Tesla is much larger, and is only an automatic, but I'm okay with that since it is a sedan. I chose the Tesla over the Porsche and saved about $100k in the process. Then I bought some TSLA stock :)

I think one day I will buy another sports car whether it be a Porsche or not. My two most innovative car companies are Tesla and McLaren at the moment.

Less than 24hrs to go...

Can't wait to see delivery pics!

Finalized 8/10 after just getting my order in on 8/2, just before the price increase. Delivery says "late August" but I know better than that! My guess is late Sept or early Oct because of delays related to Euro deliveries.

I am in Tampa, FL

P85/ red/grey leather/ tech / sound / pano / 21" grey wheels / carbon fiber spoiler / VIN 19846

Ordered 8/3. Was told to confirm by 8/16. Started changing options every other day, but this morning received email that my order was confirmed.

-Is confirmation different from finalize?
-How far off will delivery be at this point - delivery preference is listed as late-Aug

Thanks everyone for all the great information on the forum! (1st post)

After months and months of agonizing over every detail about Tesla, the Model S, and every conceivable permutation of options, I've finalized using the old pricing scheme.
